The Aakash 4 slate needsfunctionality and power if itis to take on the tabletcompetition

In world now-a-days there are many type of android phones and tablets. Here am telling you the the things which make aakash having best performance and noticable also.
1. Processor, battery and storage:
Though it might be too much to wish
for the Aakash 4 to be powered by a
quad-core processor, a powerful
dual-core processor will also suit the
slate fine - as long as it is able to
handle all of Android's multi-tasking
with ease .
Aakash has traditionally been
designed for students across the
board, and nothing is more
frustrating for students than a
device that takes ages to boot and
lags in its functions. For the same
reason, we wish the slate could be
built with a long lasting battery, 1
GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal
storage, along with support for
external memory expansion.
2. Operating System: We would like
to see the Aakash 4 run on the
latest build of the Android operating
system. With technology changing
speedily, a device that is up-to-date
with the newest innovations is
always preferred to one that is out
dated and lags behind in updates.
The Aakash 4 should ideally be
given software updates as soon as
possible too.
3. Cameras: A good primary camera
like a 5-megapixel one will serve the
new Aakash slate well. Students
using the tablet can click pictures
and videos on the go and use them
in projects and field trips. Not only
will that make learning easy, it will
make it fun. Additionally, a decent
front snapper, like a 1.2-megapixel
one, will aid kids in holding video
conferences which in turn will
facilitate quick and efficient team
work.
4. Screen: If Aakash 4 launches with
a clear HD screen, it will be a coup
like no other! At its price point,
however, it is unreasonable to
expect the tablet to pack in a 1080
pixel display . If not a 720 pixel
screen, the slate should be
equipped with a screen that lends it
decent clarity and sharpness. Since
students are expected to spend long
hours reading on the slate, it should
be designed in a way that doesn't
strain the pupils' eyes.
5. Connectivity: If students are to
take the Aakash 4 everywhere they
go and use it for everything from
reading and researching to compiling
assignments and project work, the
tablet should be able to connect to
the internet anywhere and at
anytime. Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G
and USB connectivity options are
ideal for the device.

How To Make AndroidFaster: What Works AndWhat Doesn’t

Everyone wants their devices to run
faster and scammers prey on that.
Recently, a scam app named Android
Defrag Pro popped up on Google
Play. Android doesn’t need
defragmentation, but many users
installed it anyway and left positive
reviews. Android isn’t like Windows
and doesn’t require as much
maintenance — still, there are some
things you can do to make your
device perform faster.
You may have heard that “Android
fragmentation” is a problem, but
this refers to the number of devices
and versions of Android in the wild –
fragmentation on Android’s file
system is not a problem.
What Works – The Basics.
These easy-to-follow tips will work for
everyone, no rooting your device
required:
~Optimize Your Home Screens :
Loading up your home screens with
widgets and live wallpapers will slow
things down a bit, particularly if you
have an older, slower device. Trim
the number of widgets you use and
you may see a performance increase
– of course, widgets may not slow
things down too much, especially if
you have a newer device. While
animated wallpapers provide eye
candy, they may cause your home
screens to lag — not to mention the
battery life hit.
Kill & Uninstall Misbehaving
Apps:
Task killer apps are
unnecessary — we’ll get to that later
— because Android normally does a
good job of managing processes for
you. However, in some cases, an app
may misbehave, taking up a lot of
CPU time and slowing your system.
You can identify these apps from the
Task Manager by their high resource
usage. You can also use an app like
Watchdog Task Manager , which
watches for misbehaving apps. After
you spot a misbehaving app, kill it.
If it continues misbehaving, you
should uninstall it.
Install a Different Browser :
If you’re one of the majority of Android
users stuck on an older version of
Android, like Gingerbread, you could
see a performance increase from
installing a new browser. Android’s
built-in browser is only updated
with the operating system, which
means that Gingerbread’s browser
hasn’t been updated in a long time.
The new Firefox app for Android runs
on Gingerbread and seems
significantly faster than the built-in
browser, in my experience. Users of
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and
above can also try Google Chrome for
Android. Opera Mini is another good
choice – Opera Mini renders pages
on Opera’s servers before sending
them to your device, saving your
device’s processing power and
reducing network usage. Opera Mini
will help more with slower devices
that take a while to load web pages.
What Works – The Geekier Stuff.
These tips will require rooting your
device or installing a custom ROM –
not necessarily for the average user!
That said, rooting your Android
phone or tablet may be easier than
you’d think.
~Overclock Your Device : Just like
with a desktop or laptop computer,
you can overclock your Android
phone or tablet to speed things up.
However, this will require root
access. SetCPU is a popular choice
for overclocking your device’s CPU.
Bear in mind that overclocking can
be dangerous – an overclocked
phone will generate more heat, and
this could result in hardware
damage. Overclocking will also
decrease your device’s battery life.
Install Custom ROMs to Get a
Newer Version of Android :
Newer
versions of Android perform better
than older ones. For example,
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is
significantly more responsive than
older versions thanks to Project
Butter, which aimed to dramatically
reduce lag. While your phone may
not have an official update to a
newer version of Android, you can
often upgrade by installing a custom
ROM. A custom ROM is a new build
of the Android operating system,
customized for your device and
developed by the community. One
popular custom ROM that supports a
variety of devices is CyanogenMod.
Manage Autostart Programs :
~If you’ve rooted your Android, you can
also use an app like Autostarts to
manage which apps have permission
to automatically start with your
device. This can speed up your boot
process.
What Doesn’t Work
These things just don’t work, or may
be counterproductive.
~Defragment Your Android : For
decades, Windows users have been
told that defragmenting their hard
drives will speed their computer up.
With this in mind, it’s no surprise
that scammers would create Android
defragmenting apps. You don’t need
to defragment Android for the same
reason you don’t need to defragment
a solid-state drive on a Windows
computer. The SSD automatically
manages where the data gets placed
— defragmentation doesn’t speed
anything up. In fact,
defragmentation can actually harm
things – SSDs have a limited amount
of write cycles, so defragmentation
can reduce the life of your Android’s
storage.
Run a Task Killer:
~Task killer apps
end processes and remove them
from memory – this sounds like it
should speed things up. However, it
may actually slow things down.
Android will manage processes for
you – processes running in the
background don’t use up resources
like they do on Windows. While your
memory may be full of processes,
that’s a good thing – unused
memory does nothing, and the apps
in memory will load more quickly
when you go back to them. When a
task killer kills a process, the app
will take longer to load next time –
it may also start back up
immediately, slowing things down.
Let Android manage processes for
you. The one exception to this is
misbehaving processes, which you
should kill and uninstall – see the
information about that in the basics
section above.

Top 11 Android Hacks and their applications.

Android is now the most used
mobile operating system in the
world, with many commentators
putting its market share at
around 70%. With such growing
presence, there are too many
applications if we are able to
hack Android and customize as
we wish. Not to worry, crazy
Android developers have
already done this for us. People
have successfully rooted
Android and there are number
of wild hacks with countless
applications. Some are fun and
some are very useful too.
1. Get Android
updates before your
handset
manufacturer
releases it.
For most people using Android
phones, they usually have to
wait for Google to release
updates for Android, and this
may sometimes take months.
However, the problem is that
when the new updates are
released, handset
manufacturers have to readjust
them in order to run on their
handsets, and also add new
software, before releasing the
updates to their customers.
However, the good news is that
you do not have to wait this
long for the latest updates.
Since there are a great number
of people working on releasing
their own stable updates, you
can root your Android phone so
that you are able to release
such updates as soon as the
developer has released them.
2. Scale up your
media center.
One of the major reasons why
people usually buy
smartphones is so that they are
able to play their favorite music
and videos. However, this
usually comes with some
limitations, mainly with regard
to storage space. For many
people, most of their music and
video files are usually stored in
their PCs, while just a select
number of files are stored in
their smartphones. This thus
means that they cannot access
their music files, and they have
to keep deleting some of the
files in order to make room for
new files. This is a great
inconvenience; the good news
is that someone saw this and
decided to come up with a
simple hack that enables one to
stream their music from their
PC to their smartphones by
using Wi-Fi. There is an app
called Gmote that makes
accessing this future a breeze.
3. Change the
appearance of
Android user
interface.
One of the most common tasks
that people usually perform on
their mobile phones is
changing the themes and
wallpapers so that they can
suit their fancy. If you have
tried this before, then you will
have realized that there are
numerous limitations, thanks to
the small number of wallpapers
and themes that ship with your
Android phone. The wallpapers
and themes are also not that
inspiring, since most of them
are static. But you can change
all this and bring your
Android’s user interface into
life. This is easily done through
the use of tools, such as
Beautiful Widgets , which will
then give you access to tonnes
of customized and animated
wallpapers that you can use on
your phone.
4. Play retro games
on your Android
phone.
If you are an avid gamer, then
you most definitely usually pull
out your old game console ad
play a few classic games so as
to remind yourself of how it
used to feel playing such
games. Android, being open
source, has stirred some
interesting thoughts from some
top tinkerers who also happen
to love playing games. They
have come up with simple
hacks that can enable you to
play classic games on your
Android device. Gameboid and
Ataroid are two such apps that
allow you to play some classic
games on your Android device.
There is another hacker, who
even went ahead and rooted
his Android phone so that it is
now able to use an NES
controller by attaching it to the
phone.
5. Install apps that
are root-only.
If you like tinkering with
different aspects of your
Android phone and would like
to get as much flexibility as
possible, then you should go
ahead and root your phone by
installing root-only apps. These
apps will open up a whole new
world of possibilities for you, as
you will be able to undertake
some tasks that are not usually
support by the standard
Android software that is usually
shipped with phones. For
example, you can install a root
app that allows you to gain
access to extra memory on your
phone, making it run faster,
especially when running apps
that demand plenty of
computing power.
6. Open your garage
door.
Now this is very interesting!
With an imaginative Android
hackers, there have been some
simple yet highly effective
hacks. For example, there is an
app called OpenSeMe that
makes it very easy to enable
your Android phone to open
your garage door; this is pretty
cool. This app has some simple
features that make it safe and
easy to use. It uses a pin to
verify authenticity of the owner
before opening the door; it also
only opens the garage door
when within a radius of one
block. In short, it acts as a
garage door opener.
7. Overclock your
Android phone.
Are you tired of having your
android phone hang up every
time you use an app that is
resource-intensive? If this is
the case, then you should
consider overclocking your
phone. Overlocking is noting
but rooting your Android
mobile to such an extent that a
user adds permission to OS
settings and removing number
of hardware limitations such as
inernal memory, battery life
etc., However, you have to take
note of the fact that
overclocking your phone has a
number of side effects. You may
wear out your phone’s
processor since overclocking it
creates intense heat, which may
overwhelm the in-built cooling
system. It may also shorten
your phone’s lifestyle. However,
by using well-designed
overclocking apps, you will be
able to also underclock your
phone’s processors so that
their lifespan is prolonged. You
also need a new generation
Android phone in order to run
such apps. One great app that
you can use for this function is
called SetCPU, and it comes
highly recommended.
8. Run Android on an
old iPhone.
If you love playing practical
jokes as well as tinkering, then
you may find this hack
hilarious: install Android on
your old iPhone. This is a cool
way of finding out how Android
would perform on an iPhone. If
you have an old iPhone lying
around, say iPhone 2G, then
you can install Android on it.
Doing this will also open up
quite a number of apps that
you can then use. In order to
have some fun doing this, you
can install apps that have been
restricted by Apple. But in
order to get this hack to work,
you have to break into your
iPhone; you can use software
such as Redsn0w or PwnageTool
to do this.
9. Take screenshots.
One of the common complaints
about Android is that it does
not allow users to take screen
shots. However, some clever
developers have made this
possible by creating some
interesting apps that enable
you to take amazing
screenshots of your Android
phone, albeit with some fancy
effects. However, you need to
first root your phone before
trying these apps. You can use
the ShootMe app that enables
you to take screenshots of your
phone, with a little shake. This
is a simple yet very effective
feature.
10. Block Ads on your
phone.
Advertisements are the price
people usually pay for using
free software, and this is not
different on Android. Many free
apps you will be using will be
running ads, and one of the
ways of getting rid of these
apps is to use paid versions f
the apps. However, after you
have rooted your Android
phone, you can install the
Adfree app that essentially
blocks ads from everywhere on
your phone. This is quite
handy if you usually use plenty
of free apps.
11. Turn your
Android phone into a
Wi-Fi hotspot.
Many people would be more
than happy to use their
Android phones as a Wi-Fi
hotspot, but only a few of them
are able to do so. Once you
root your Android phone, then
you can easily turn it into a Wi-
Fi hotspot, regardless of the
carrier you have subscribed to.
You can use the Wireless
Tether app, as it makes it such
a breeze to turn your Android
phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot that
other devices can plug into.
So, by rooting your Android
phone, you can turn it into a
very powerful mobile device
with limitless possibilities.
However, always bear in mind
that rooting your phone usually
makes your warranty void, and
it may end up totally messing
up your phone.

5 Tricks To Use Your Android Phone as a Travel Guide (WithoutMobile Data)

Leave the paper maps, outdated
travel guides, and thick dictionaries
at home when you go traveling — all
you need is an Android smartphone.
You can do everything offline with
features built into Android and free
apps.
Take advantage of these tricks and
you can travel without using your
data connection, possibly saving
thousands of dollars on exorbitantly
expensive roaming data fees without
giving up the convenience of your
smartphone.
Offline Maps
Google Maps on Android has offline
support. This feature was previously
considered experimental, but it’s
now stable. You can download map
areas to your phone to view offline.
When you’re in the area, you can
open Google Maps and use your
smartphone’s GPS as well as the
saved maps to view where you are.
You don’t need to stumble around
with a traditional paper map.
Google Maps doesn’t provide offline
navigation, which means you can’t
ask it for directions — but you can
see where you are on the map. If
you ask Google Maps for directions
when you’re on a Wi-Fi connection
and then go offline, you can
continue to follow the directions and
view your location on the map
completely offline. Only searching
for directions requires a Wi-Fi
connection.
To download maps for use offline,
open Google Maps, tap the Menu
button, and select Make Available
Offline. Select a map region and tap
Done — your phone will download it
for use offline.
You can manage your offline maps
from under My Places. Offline maps
areas are listed under the Offline
category.
Offline Translation, Voice
Recognition, and Speech
Google Translate now has support
for offline translation. You can
download dictionaries and use the
Google Translate app to translate
words and phrases between
languages, just as you would in a
web browser.
Better still, Android 4.2 includes
offline speech-to-text and text-to-
speech features. If you have a
smartphone running Android 4.2,
you can also download the
appropriate language support for
use offline. This will allow you to
speak words into your phone and
have them translated in Google
Translate. You can also use Google
Translate to have your smartphone
speak a foreign-language word back
to you — all offline.
To get started, download the official
Google Translate app for Android.
Open it, tap the menu button, and
select Offline Languages. Download
the languages you want to use
offline. The Google Translate app
will now work normally for these
languages, even when you’re offline.
On Android 4.2, you can install
offline voice support by opening
your phone’s Settings screen,
tapping Language & input, and
tapping the Settings button to the
right of Google voice typing.
Tap Download offline speech
recognition and download the
languages you want to use offline.
You can then speak these languages
into your phone or have them
spoken back to you in all apps,
including the Google Translation
app.
Travel Guides
In the age before the Internet,
people purchased travel guides
made of paper. These travel guides
contained maps, lists of attractions,
information about the local customs,
and other such information that
would be useful to a traveler in the
area. We don’t need such travel
guides anymore with the Internet —
but what about when you’re offline?
Several different organizations
produce free travel guide apps for
Android, but we found Trip Advisor's app were the best. TripAdvisor
offers city-specific travel guide apps
for locations like New York, Paris,
Rome, London, and more. Install one
of the apps and you’ll have a variety
of useful offline features, such as
the ability to find restaurants and
attractions nearby, view offline
reviews, and get pointed there using
your device’s GPS. You can also
locate nearby transit stations, view
nearby ATMs, and even use an
offline map — just in case Google
Maps doesn’t work right.
To use one of TripAdvisor’s travel
guides , first download it from Google
Play. You must launch the app and
download its content before it will
work offline.
Finding Wi-Fi Hotspots
Offline apps are great, but you’ll
probably want to get online
occasionally. To do this, you’ll need
to find a Wi-Fi hotspot. Wi-Fi
hotspots aren’t available everywhere,
however — finding them can
sometimes be a challenge. JiWire’s
WiFi Finder is a free app that can
download a database of Wi-Fi
hotspots to your phone. You can
then open the app, view how far
away you are from these known Wi-Fi
hotspots, and make your way
towards them.
After you’ve installed the app, open
it, tap the Menu button, and tap
Download Database to download its
database of Wi-Fi hotspots to your
device.
You can then use the app to locate
nearby Wi-Fi hotspots — both free
and paid ones.
More Apps
Apps for many other things you
might want to do offline are
available in Google Play, whether
you’re looking for the ability to
quickly do unit and currency
conversions offline or you want an
offline map of a city’s public transit
system.
If you’re driving and want an offline
navigation solution, try OsmAnd . It’s
free, uses OpenStreetMap data, and
will give you driving (and walking)
directions offline.

T-Mobile just dropped one helluvabig change on us, completely redesigning its plans and how itsells devices.

T-Mobile just dropped one helluva
big change on us, completely
redesigning its plans and how it
sells devices.
No matter how simple they are or
how you explain them, there are
bound to be questions left
unanswered. We've been keeping an
eye on the burning questions people
are having regarding the changes,
and done our best to answer them
below. We implore you to first take a
look at our full set of announcement
posts from Tuesday, where we break
down the gritty details of the
different plans, as well as some
device announcements and other
details:
T-Mobile announces new Android 4G
LTE devices
T-Mobile makes first LTE cities
official
T-Mobile LTE 'Simple Choice' no-
contract rate plans are here
T-Mobile simplifies tablet and
hotspot data prices, too
Still curious to know a little more
about T-Mobile's new rate plans?
Hang around after the break and see
if we can clarify a few things.
1. Will I be required to sign
a 2-year contract on T-
Mobile anymore?
Nope! T-Mobile will not require a
2-year contract for its services
anymore. At this moment, authorized
resellers (think Best Buy and
RadioShack) will still offer 2-year
contract "Classic Plans," but T-
Mobile's own stores and website will
not even offer the option.
2. How are family plans
done in the new system?
The plan system for accounts with
multiple lines is nearly identical to
that of individual lines. The base
cost of the first line on an account is
$50, which gets you unlimited talk,
text and data -- the first 500
megabytes of which is at full speed.
The second line is $30 additional,
for the same services. Each line
thereafter is $10 more, also coming
with the same talk, text and 500MB
of full speed data.
Each line can be given an additional
2GB of data (for 2.5GB in total) for
$10 per month per line. $10 more
(per month per line) after that will
offer you unlimited data on each
line. If you would like more data,
including hotspot usage, you can
add 2GB of data per month at the
rate of $10 to any line.
3. Wait ... so it's unlimited,
but there's a limit on
tethering?
The only place where the plans
really get more complicated is when
it comes to unlimited data and
tethering. First let's talk about the
tiered prices -- for any plan other
than the $70 unlimited plan,
hotspot and tethering are included.
So for example if you have paid $20
extra for 4.5GB of data per month,
you can tether with all of it.
On the $70 unlimited plan, there is
only 500MB of tethering included.
Additional buckets of tethering-
available data can be purchased at
the same rate as any other data --
$10 per 2GB. Ya, it's annoying, but
it's also the only way T-Mobile can
likely offer an unthrottled unlimited
plan for $70 per month. We'll hope
they budge a bit more on this going
forward, but the prices aren't ulcer-
inducing by any means.
4. Can I add a tablet to my
plan? Does it share data
with my other devices?
Tablets can now be added to a plan
as if they were any other device, and
have their own data allotment. When
adding a tablet, hotspot, laptop or
data stick to an account that already
has a phone on it, the initial charge
will be $10 and include 500MB of
high speed data. The same data
tiers apply as with the phones -- $10
per 2GB, up to 12.5GB total. There
is currently no unlimited data
option for tablet, hotspot, laptop or
data stick devices.
5. Will I have to pay full
retail for my device if I
move to T-Mobile now?
With a move to the new Simple
Choice no-contract plans, T-Mobile is
differentiating between the cost of
the plan and the cost of the phone.
This means that if you would like to
bring your own phone, or buy one
from T-Mobile at full retail price,
you will pay the regular rates
mentioned above. If you would
prefer to have a lower up-front cost
but still have a new device, you can
buy a phone on an installment plan.
The installment plans consist of a
"down payment" and 24 even
monthly installments thereafter, with
no interest. For example, a new
high-end device may set you back
$99 down, and 24 payments of $20 --
or $579 in total. The amount of the
down payment and installments will
differ based on device, but we can
expect prices similar to this
example. The final purchase price of
the phone should be nearly
identical to the price if you were to
purchase it up-front.
Again the installment plan you have
for your phone is not tied to your
service plan, so you can pay off your
phone at any time and leave,
regardless of how far into your
service you are.
6. Will the phones bought
from T-Mobile be SIM
unlocked?
Like most carriers, T-Mobile will keep
its devices SIM locked to its network
by default if they are purchased on
an installment plan. Save for a few
cases (the iPhone 5 is expected to
be unlocked) you should expect each
device to come out of the box locked
-- to be unlocked when you finish
paying off the installment plan or if
you are in good standing and
traveling abroad.
7. Are there separate plans
or charges for LTE devices?
Nope! T-Mobile is not distinguishing
between plans and prices if you
have an LTE device or not. This is a
good thing! (The first LTE-capable
devices on T-Mobile are the HTC
One, Samsung Galaxy 4 and Galaxy
Note 2 and the BlackBerry Z10.)
8. If I have an LTE device,
where can I expect to see
the new network?
T-Mobile has officially announced
that Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City,
Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, Calif.
and Washington, D.C. are the up
and running now, with many more to
come this year.
9. What additional
features are included with
Simple Choice plans?
Call Forwarding (a big one for Google
Voice users)

10. I keep hearing about
1900MHz Deployment,
should I care?
In order to make room for its LTE
network deployment on AWS (that's
1700/2100MHz), T-Mobile has been
moving its HSPA+ service over to the
1900MHz frequency. The reason why
you may have heard about it is
because this move gives
interoperability with current AT&T
(and most international) handsets
for HSPA+ service. The move to
1900MHz is an important one only if
you're interested in bringing a
device to T-Mobile that doesn't
support AWS.
The move has already taken place in
dozens of major markets, and will
continue as T-Mobile rolls out more
locations with LTE. If you're buying
a phone from T-Mobile, or another
AWS-compatible device like the
Nexus 4 from Google, you don't need
to worry about your market having
1900MHz HSPA+.

How to install adobe flash player manually.

New devices will soon be unable to
get Adobe Flash from Google Play.
Here's how to install it manually.
From today, for some new devices,
Adobe Flash Player will no longer be
available from Google Play, marking
the end of Flash’s brief flirtation
with Android. That means if you
want to get hold of Flash on an
Android device that doesn't ship
with it, you’ll need to resort to a
little bit of trickery. Fortunately,
though, it’s pretty easy to get Flash
up and running manually, assuming
you understand the risks.
Join us after the break to find out
how to manually install a legacy
version of Adobe Flash Player on
your Android phone or tablet.
Big scary warning.
Before we begin, make sure you
understand the risks associated with
running the now-unsupported Adobe
Flash on your device --
1. There’s no official support for Flash
on Android now. That means no
more security or stability updates,
no official support channels if
something goes wrong. In particular,
if you’re using this on an Android
4.1 (Jelly Bean) device, you can
probably expect a few stability
issues
2. The fact that security updates are no
longer being developed for Flash for
Android means that running this
could potentially open you up to
security risks and malicious Flash
content. There’s no record of Flash
exploits specifically targeting
Android users, but that doesn’t
mean it couldn’t happen.
3. You’re installing an app from a
third-party source, so you’ll need to
disable one of Android’s built-in
security options. Remember to re-
enable it afterwards for your device’s
security.
4. On newer hardware, particularly
devices running Android 4.1, you
may experience stability issues with
Flash content. That’s just the way
Flash rolls on mobile devices.
Prerequisites
You’ll need a phone or tablet
running Android 2.2 ( Froyo ) to 4.1
(Jelly Bean ). Check Settings > About
phone / About tablet to see what
you’re running. If you’re on Jelly
Bean, check that you have a stock
browser installed besides Google
Chrome, as Chrome for Android
doesn’t support Flash. Check your
app drawer for “Browser” or
“Internet.”
The method
Now, down to business. The process
of getting Flash for Android on a
device that doesn’t already have it is
pretty simple.
1. First, you’ll need to tell your device
it’s OK to install apps from sources
other than Google Play. You’ll need
to check the box marked “Unknown
sources.” On Android 2.2, 2.3 or 3.x,
this is found under Settings >
Applications. On Android 4.x, you’ll
find it under Settings > Security.
2. On your phone or tablet, download
the Flash for Android application
downloader. (It'll then download the
file directly from Adobe.)
3. Once that’s done, pull down the
notification area and tap on the file
to install it. Tap “Install” on the
next screen to confirm.
4. When Flash is installed, head into
your phone’s stock browser (again,
Google Chrome won’t support your
newly-installed Flash apk).
5. On Android 3.0 or later, go to Menu
(three dots next to the address bar
on some phones) > Settings >
Advanced > Enable plug-ins. To
enable Flash content all the time,
select “Always on,” or to enable it
selectively on each page, choose “On
demand.” Or on Android 2.2 or 2.3,
go to Menu > Settings (sometimes
Menu > More > Settings), where
you’ll find the “Enable plug-ins”
option.
6. You should now be ready to go.
Check this link on your phone to
confirm that Flash is up and
running.
Finally, once it’s working, you may
want to uncheck the “Unknown
sources” option once again to keep
your phone or tablet secure.
So there you have it -- Flash support
on your Android device. Flash on
mobile devices has never been
perfect, but on the right hardware
Flash 11.1 for Android will give you
a decent experience. Remember,
though, that Flash has been
withdrawn from the Google Play
Store for a reason -- it’s no longer
officially supported, so bear that in
mind as you’re browsing through
Flash content on your phone.

Goodbye IPhone, Hello Android - How to Switch to Android Phones.

Goodbye IPhone, Hello
Android - How to Switch to
Android Phones.
Are you tired of your iPhone and
ready to switch to an Android
phone? Are you worried that you'll
lose all your stuff? Can you find the
right apps? I won't say that
switching phones is ever completely
painless,
but switching from iPhone to
Android is fairly easy, and you'll
enjoy your new Android phone.
First, a warning: Android apps and
iPhone apps are not compatible, so
you will lose all your iPhone apps
when you switch to Android. Sorry.
However, many app developers make
both Android and iPhone versions of
their app, and the data in many
cases is stored online. If you install
the Android version of Evernote, you
can still see any notes you created
on your iPhone.
Google Accounts and Gmail Are
Your Friends.
Start using Gmail as your default
email client. It's free and easy, and
when you switch to an Android
phone, your email data will come
with you. Android uses your Google
account for everything, so make sure
you have one. You can still set up
an Exchange email account, and you
can still check email on other
services if you really want to keep
that .me account, but you should
have a Google account no matter
what.
Sync Your ITunes Contacts With
Google.
Before you make the big switch, use
iTunes to sync your contacts with
Gmail and you calendar with Google
Calendar. Double check your
contacts at www.google.com/contacts
to make sure they're showing up in
Google.
Sync Your ITunes Music With
DoubleTwist.
Switching your phone doesn't mean
you need to give up your extensive
iTunes music and video library. You
can use DoubleTwist to sync your
iTunes library with your Android
phone, or you can check out these
other great Android music apps .
Move Your Photos
Your photos are just stored on your
phone, so connect your iPhone via
USB and transfer them to your
computer. Once you have an Android
phone, you can do the same thing
in reverse and transfer your photos
to your Android. Or you can start
syncing your photos with Picasa or
Flickr , because you'll still be able to
see them from your phone.
Get Used to More Buttons
Your iPhone had only one physical
button on the front, but Android
phones generally have four or five.
They are Back, Home, Menu, and
Search .  When you exit an
application, most of the time you'll
just tap the Back button until you
reach the Home screen, but you can
also tap the Home button. The Menu
button gives you options, and it's a
great guess when you're lost in an
app, and the Search button does
what you'd expect. Some Android
phones also have a track ball you
can use for navigation, and some
have a physical keyboard.
Learn to Love the Widget
Androids and iPhones both get app
icons, but only Android has widgets.
Widgets are mini apps that run on
your Home screen and may be
interactive. Widgets let you do
things like check the weather or read
email without launching your email
app. Toggling widgets are especially
useful, since they'll let you toggle
your Wi-Fi or background data sync
on and off in a hurry.
Android Market Is Now Your App
Store
Rather than using Apple's App Store,
the Android Market is the default
app store for Android. Notice how I
said default ? Android phones aren't
bound to just one market. By
checking a box allowing third-party
app installiation, you can install
apps from alternative markets or
even just from links on the Web.
However, don't go crazy with your
new power. You should be cautious
about installing apps from third
party sources, and at a minimum
install some virus protection, such
as Lookout Mobile.

Edit Spreadsheets OnThe Go With The Drive Mobile App.

Edit Spreadsheets On
The Go With The Drive
Mobile App.
You’re making your list, you’re
checking it twice -- and now you
can do it from anywhere.
Just in time for this year’s holiday
season, you can edit Google Sheets
on your mobile device, just like
you can with Google Docs. From
the Drive app on your Android
device, you can create a new
spreadsheet or edit an existing
one. You can switch fonts, resize
columns, sort data, and more. And
just like on your computer, you’ll
be able to see other people’s edits
in real time as they’re made.
Beyond spreadsheets, you may
notice a few other tweaks to the
Drive app, including better text
formatting when you paste from
one Google document to another.
And from your Android device,
you can edit text within tables in
documents and add a shortcut on
the homescreen of your device to
any specific file in Drive.
Whether it’s holiday recipes,
shopping lists, or just your family
budget, the Drive app on your
mobile device makes it easy to get
stuff done wherever you are.
Get the Google Drive app today
on Google Play.

Protect your AndroidPhone from Malwaresand Viruses.

Protect your Android
Phone from Malwares
and Viruses.
I am talking about the
presence of malware and suspected
virus on different applications
installed on android phones. Today,
let me tell you some tips and
techniques to add security to
android phones.
1. Install an Antivirus
Most Android users prefer to browse
the internet from time to time.
There are quite a few websites that
contains viruses. These harmful
viruses can infect your mobile
phone when you consciously or
unconsciously browse through those
websites. Consequently, your phone
may get corrupted, hangs, lags or
show error messages. In addition,
your phone is also vulnerable when
you plug it in computer with virus
infestation. To avoid these
situations, install a good a good
antivirus. Supposedly, you should
have done this at the very start.
Here are some of the best antivirus
apps which you can download from
Google Play Store. These apps are
arranged alphabetically, just choose
one.
- Avast! Mobile Security
- Antivirus Security - FREE
- Kaspersky Mobile Security Lite
- Zoner AntiVirus
- McAfee Antivirus & Security
2. Install a Malware Detection App
One app I can really recommend is
the Lookout Security & Antivirus . It
is really a useful application.
3. Update your Trusted Installed
Apps
Security issues are fixed with every
update the application gets.
4. Delete/Uninstall Error Filled
Apps
If you experience receiving error
messages from apps immediately
uninstall these. Unless these apps
are really from trusted developers.
5. Avoid Rooting your Phone
I might get bashed for this last
recommendation. But since this is
an article on Android Phone
security, I would really suggest this.
Rooted phones are vulnerable to
apps that modify android's
configuration. Although there are
advantages to rooted phones.

How to Reduce Lags On Your Android Device.

How to Reduce Lags on Your Android Device.
There are some instances when
android phones lag. These may be
due to different reasons. But here
are some tips that might help
lessen the occurrences of lags.
Here are some things you can do:
1. Transfer installed apps to
microSD
This can be done using an app
called AppMgr III or App2SD . Move
your apps to your microSD to free
up some space on your android
phone.
2. Do not install apps that you will
not use.
Obviously, never let unused
applications to be on your phone. If
you do not use it uninstall it.
3. Disable apps that are not always
being used
Go to "Settings", then "Apps", find
the app you want to disable. (You
have the choices to STOP, CLEAR
DATA, CLEAR CACHE and DISABLE.)
4. Use Advanced Task Killer to close
running apps.
5. Lessen your active widgets.
Widgets are the one that gives
beauty to our Home Screens.
However, I go for a clean Home
Screen, no widgets. It lets me see
my wallpaper.
